We are a mother and daughter team located in Peoria, IL. The Siberian Husky has been a part of our family for twenty seven years and we have had our breeding program running for eight. Our dogs are not only loved pets, they are our family. They are raised and spend their life inside our home and most important their health and happiness comes before any part of our breeding program. All decisions regarding our dogs including the litters are made together. We made the decision to begin our breeding program solely based on the intention to continue and improve this captivating breed.  Our goal is to produce and contribute healthy, well mannered, sound, and stable, representations of the Siberian Husky all while helping to educate people about the breed.

A little about our Breeding Program

  The Siberian's  Humans

                                            &

                      Their husky Passion

We put individual time in to training, bonding, and learning about each of our dogs as individuals. They may all be huskies they are most certainly not at all the same dog.  Each one has different needs, energy levels, and especially personalities. You have to understand each dog and what works best for that individual. We strive to keep them happy and healthy by providing the quality food, training, exercise, vetting, and love that each and everyone of them deserves. â€‹
Our pups will not be placed with anyone who we do not believe will treat them as a part of their family and have the dogs best interest as a priority. Here at Siberian Huskies Unleashed we have a "forever home" meaning not only do our dogs live out their lives with us but if for any reason one of our offspring need a home our door is open; (until we can adequately re-home them) Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

It all started with Kovu. Having experience with the breed we knew upon taking on this 7 month of intact male husky what to expect. Even though he was everything you learn to love and appreciate about this breed he had something special. I can admit that our knowledge and training with dogs in general had greatly improved over the years; but that doesn't eliminate the fact that he was just a calmer and more stable dog then most huskies you see. Could we capture this? Yes! Researching and learning that so many attributes other then health and appearance are passed down in every line when breeding we decided he was a healthy candidate to carry on the next generation. (to learn more about Kovu visit his profile on our retired sibes page)

Once we were ready we found our perfect dame to pair Kovu with.  Once Zira became an appropriate adult breeding age and she was healthy along with a perfect personality match with Kovu we had our first litter. Kovu and Zira's puppies were everything we had hoped for; from there we fell in love with our new found passion; The Siberian Husky.

Kovu

Zira

I had never thought dogs could love each other the way these two did; and I haven't seen it quite the same in any other pair. Their bond was more then just a part of their pack.
